Welcome to a deeper dive into the 2022 Totter + Tumble x Morris & Co. collection.
The four designs, while steeped in nostalgia, are ideal for unrolling into modern interiors. Discover which current interior trends our timeless new designs can be styled perfectly into.
The Blackthorn + The Standen
The first playmat from the collection is The Blackthorn + The Standen.
The Blackthorn features hedgerow florals in jewel tones, set on an Oxford Blue background. The immersive pattern appears to have been picked straight from nature and is ideal for working into modernised Victorian interiors. Consider Morris & Co. paint shades Webb's Blue and Inky Fingers, arts & crafts influences and vintage inspired furnishings for a complete New Victorian look.

On the reverse, The Standen has a small-scale leafy pattern in a warming ochre hue. Set on a vanilla background, the maximalist design has a modern effect. It's the ideal pick for artisanal interiors that favour biophilia, with plenty of plants and a focus on neutrals and natural light. Sunflower and Sussex Rush from the Morris & Co. paint collection pair perfectly with The Standen and the Bio Artisan trend.

The Brer Rabbit + The Acorn
The second playmat from the collection is The Brer Rabbit + The Acorn.
The Brer Rabbit features fauna and florals in limestone white, set on a soft sage grounding. The uplifting pattern captures the beauty of the British countryside. The softness of the pattern is ideal for a Fresh Maximalist space, pair up with contrasting heritage patterns and neutral shades, such as Kelmscott Water from the Morris & Co. paint collection.

On the reverse, The Acorn has an illustrative pattern inspired by Great Oaks. In pebble grey and unbleached cotton, it’s an earthy, woodland design which brings the outdoors, indoors. It's ideal for pairing with Cabincore styling and rustic finishes, alongside nature-inspired hues, such as Thames Reeds from the Morris & Co. paint collection.
