This September, we are introducing a new Signature style to our luxury playmat collection. The Beachcomber + The Gatherer offers two beautiful rug-like designs, with the no-compromise features that really give family homes what they need. Softness, impact-absorption and wipeability in a roll-out and go single piece design. Totter + Tumble began with our founder Susie looking for a softer, safer place for her children to play, and a design that felt at home in her family space. This launch returns to that original idea.
The Beachcomber Playmat
The beautiful Beachcomber Playmat takes its cue from the coast, with a small-scale pattern of scalloped shells in subtle sea glass and white sand tones. There mini motifs offers decorative detail to enjoy up close, but there is a softness to the overall design, so that it feels like a timeless rug, that belongs to the space. The Beachcomber offers just the right amount of nautical character, without feeling like a themed seaside rug.
The Gatherer Playmat
Turn the playmat over to meet The Gatherer Playmat. Inspired by knotted fishing nets, its fluid motif and hand-drawn texture is a feast for the eyes, settling in to the space like a textile rug would. For this new Signature pairing, both sides have been created with a complementary colour palette, so you can flip between the sides without rethinking the rest of your room.

A calm design on a hard-working playmat
Beneath the hand-designed coastal patterns is half an inch of thick, cushioning memory foam, offering support for little tumbles, everyday play and grown-up knees too. Totter + Tumble playmats are made from high-quality, independently tested, non-toxic materials and are certified safe from newborn+. The Beachcomber + The Gatherer playmat is available in Compact, Standard and after so many customer requests for the largest size, the XL too. This is the first design in our Signature Collection to be available in XL, giving more space to whatever is happening on the floor.
